For German Travel Photographer Ulla Lohmann, it’s all about the story. If an image or a series of images can tell a captivating story, we can move things and change people. In our online seminar, Ulla will share the power of Storytelling. She will take you on her journey, how she came to be working for renowned magazines and how she keeps on top of the game with her photography by adapting to new technology. Ulla was amongst the very first photographers worldwide to try out the new R5 and has never let it go since then. She upgraded her complete system to the RF lenses and bought herself the R6 and the R5. In her talk, she will share her experiences with the equipment in extreme environments. But also, it is very important to Ulla to emphasize that it’s not about the equipment, but about what you can do with it. She will also share the essential elements to photograph your very own story and wants to inspire you to go out and get creative again. How he had just fifteen minutes to photograph his childhood hero, Apollo 15 astronaut Al Worden and how he built a narrative into a single image. His personal project to record the day to day lives of the people of a Scottish Island, including his close association with Islay Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the brave Islay RNLI volunteers.
