Lesson learned. Always got with your gut instinct.
So, not exactly what I planned, but happy to have an image from Paris Henge last night, that I like. It was such a tricky Henge to get the exposure correct. Ideally, I wanted to be a little further away from the Arc, which would ensure the sun would be bigger in the frame, filling out the arch more. Unfortunately, I took some local advice on the shooting position and it was incorrect, meaning I was closer than I needed to be.

Also, with my tripod shooting a video/timelapse, just close to the halfway point in the suns alignment with the Arc, within 60 seconds, 2 people close by, accidentally kicked the tripod leg, knocking the alignment off and forcing me to stop taking photos to try fix the tripod. What a mess. Last night I was completely deflated so decided to just go to sleep, only to see the aurora kick off in Ireland meaning I was on insta watching everyone’s stories and posts till 2am.

Even after all the mishaps and mistakes I come away from Paris again with great memories and some valuable lessons. I have another reason to return to Paris. Looking forward to the next one 🇫🇷🇮🇪☀️

So this happened yesterday ☀️🌕
The Great North American Eclipse 🇺🇸 I will forever remember the feeling of seeing totality with the naked eye. Such a spectacular and emotional moment. This trip all started in my head a few months ago. I planned to travel alone but sent out a few messages to see if anyone wanted to come. Some of you reading this were probably on the other end of those messages. I have dreamed of witnessing this moment for a long, long time and it finally happened. There is so much for me to tell you but at the moment I will share this image composite showing totality, both diamond rings and a number of shots from the partial stage.
A big shout out to and for making the journey with me. It’s been some adventure. The first of many total eclipse chases for sure.
Finally, thank you to each and every one of you for the love and support. I had almost 450 messages to reply to this morning so I know so many of you were excited to see the photos. I’m so happy I was able to share this adventure with you all. Sending love from Dallas, Texas 🫶

The Harvest Moon rises over Rockabill Lighthouse from Beach Briggs, Balbriggan over 12km away. The moons diameter from here is approximately 120m versus Rockabill Lighthouse, which peaks at about 45m from sea level. 🌕 #harvestmoon #dublin #moonrise #ireland

Also learned, things are sometimes not as bad as you think and if you are super self critical, give yourself a break. One of the things I need to work on.
